Telugus in Diaspora, especially from countries like USA, UK and Australia have begun to play role in active politics of Andhra Pradesh. The recent elections have witnessed either direct or indirect participation of Telugus in Diaspora supporting the mainstream parties like Congress, TDP, TRS along with the new entrant PRP. A distinct feature of this phenomenon is fund raising by and direct participation of Telugus from overseas on large scale. Why do we see this ever increasing interest of Telugus overseas in the AP politics? Any comments?
